Fitting a decat exhaust system is a quick, easy and cost-effective way of releasing more power from your car's engine. This is due to the standard restrictive system being replaced with a more free-flowing system with a larger bore, while replacing the standard catalytic converter also allows for improved exhaust gas flow, increasing horsepower and improving throttle response in the process. The standard first catalytic converter (mounted in the manifold) is left unaffected by this exhaust system which runs from the manifold back.
